Navigate Mywealth

Navigating in mywealth

In the mywealth tab if you have added any wealth items, you will have noticed that they are displayed:

  • Assets: Highest to the lowest value
  • Liabilities: Highest to the lowest value

And if there are multiple wealth items of the same category, they will be truncated into a single line and can be viewed in more detail if you click on the down arrow or anywhere along the line of the category.

All summaries and reports of your wealth are displayed at the bottom of the mywealth section and can simply be navigated by selecting between the tabs.

Items can be sorted and viewed by category or by list, via the dropdown menu.

Adding Wealth Items

Adding everything you own and owe is the best way to complete your account when getting started.

  1. On the main dashboard click on the mywealth tab, then the orange +add button on the right-hand side.
  2. This will take you to the screen where you can add all of your assets and liabilities. It’s best to start with your biggest asset, your home.
  3. After adding your home, continue to add all of your other assets such as your car, shares and bank accounts. When you have completed all of your assets, add your liabilities, such as your mortgage, credit cards and other loans.

Once you’re done, you will see all your financial world and net worth in your mywealth tab.

Filter mywealth items

Filtering in mywealth

Filtering your wealth items can be helpful when you are trying to locate wealth items that belong to different team members (e.g. spouse) or when you’re trying to isolate multiple investment or lifestyle properties etc.

  1. In the mywealth tab open, select the filter button and you will see 2 dropdown boxes appear.
  2. Select from ownership/property type drop-down options, followed by the apply button at the bottom.

Don’t forget the reset button located on the right of the drop downs to reset any filters you may have applied.

Please note: Any filter applied will remain active on your account (even if you navigate away from the page and return) until you change, remove or reset the filter. Rest assured that your wealth items have not been removed.

Logging out and back in again will also reset any filters applied.

How to remove duplicate transactions?

If you are seeing duplicate transactions, you may have added a bank account to your mywealth twice. Here are some steps that you can take to identify duplicate accounts and remove them.

1. Click on the gear in the top right, check the box for Show hidden wealth item, and select Save.

2. Open your mywealth tab and select the type of wealth item (i.e. bank accounts, credit cards, home loans) containing the account(s) with the duplicate transactions.

3. Look for any duplicate accounts. Your mywealth tab might look something like this:
(If you have changed the name for one of them, this step might take some investigation.)

4. Select one of the duplicates and click the red bin icon to delete it.

If you are still unable to identify a duplicated bank account after going through these steps, please contact us at wealthhq@defencefinance.com.au
